Info about Songs on Floating Lounge

Sunshine & Caffeine

Light, funky club jazz (with some other stuff thrown in).  It started as a relatively simple, 3-minute song (part one of the previous version), but I wanted to expand on the theme and take it into more creative territory. The middle part is really just a bridge between the original and expanded versions, but I think it's a pretty cool bridge. Like the kind that looks innocent from a distance, but when you're crossing it you're like, "what the-?! where the hell is this taking me? Nice scenery, though." Part three is funkier, more playful, and a little harder.

Version 1.8 notes: This latest remix introduces a few minor changes, smoothes things over a bit, and combines the original three tracks into one long one. A definite improvement overall, although the original was kind of cool in its own way...besides sounding like it had been produced by an angry, disoriented wild boar. (Oh, and the force is still here...at least until the copyright lawyers demand that I remove it. ;-)

Floating

Just how it sounds...

Moving Along (still floating)

Jazzy house, Latin percussion, and a chill but powerful flow. Why can't I find places that play music like this in Nagoya?

A Journey

Version 2.0: A smoother reworking of the original masterpiece.

Bon voyage!

Chillaxin (prelude to lost funk empire)

Smooth, funky acid jazz, and a buildup to an once mighty empire that isn't here anymore (but will one day rise again. or so we're hoping.).  Or a tribute to Don Simon.

Warm Jazz in the Cold of Space

Classic jazz cuts, recycled yet again, in a gentle storm of organic and digital. (Okay, not so different from the version on e-clectic, but I like this one better. I know - it's the congas.)

After the Storm

Jazzy keys and chimes float over crispy, slightly acidic beats. Think you've heard this one before? No way - you must be imagining it. (It does sound familiar though, somehow...). The end!
